The top menu is dedicated to your searches. You will find the same possibilities as icons on the welcome page. The top menu is accessible throughout the search session.

Search Publications with one or more authors who are or were member of the Royal Danish Defense College. You will find journal articles, conferences, books / book chapters, academic dissertations and reports. You may use the basic search or the advanced search where you can limit your search results. Searching 'Publications' you search the official RDDC publications.

If the full text is not available in an electronic version, a form for ordering a copy in paper form is displayed, - please check the price list to see if this entails a fee.

Some of the publications are uploaded locally in full text. If this is the case, the text "Local full text" is displayed together with a link to the locally uploaded full text.

Faculties give an overview of the faculties: research, key data, short description, sub organizations, publications and staff. The information can be displayed either by faculty or by sub organization - if defined.

Check the references of interest, select export format and click 'Get data'. Dependent on the export format and the system you are using, the 'Get data - function' will show the records within the browser or within an application, e.g. RefMan.

Linking from external systems into the Research Database
Linking into Research Database is supported trough an openURL link service, which are internet addresses that include information. You can use the service for Person and any other Record Links.
Linking to a person record, you use e.g.
      http://researchdatabase.fak.dk/query?person=1111&docType=Publications&year=2005
where the parameters are an id, person or locally called borrower-number, the docTypes can be Publications or Projects, and the year parameter limits the search to the records from a given year, defined in the input field "annual report year". You may choose the number of parameters, but not the order.
In any case, you may use the openURL:
      http://researchdatabase.fak.dk/query?record=id
where the id is the id number of the records. This number may be found within the xml-representation of the record, that can be viewed within Research Database through the "Get Data" button placed on the interface.
It is worthwhile mentioning that Research Database uses internally different links than defined in the openURL notation. You will find this when clicking on a link into Research Database. You can bookmark these urls, however we recommend to use the above described, human readable url's instead.
